Heart of Poetry

My heart is full of poetry,
But it will stay hidden
Until the day I am free.

I found safety in your arms,
Kindness in your eyes, and
Agony behind your mask.

Both of us have struggled,
But we can make it through.
I believe in you.

I've slowly fallen for you,
But you will never see me
The way I see you.

I'll sit here waiting,
Hoping, wishing, for a day
That will never come.
